The Planning Commission then reviewed areas in which staff acts
administratively and those actions currently made by their boards
and Planning Commission which could be delegated to staff for
decision making. The Planning Commission felt that delegating
variances to staff and any routine sign applications currently
reviewed by Design Review Board should be investigated for
potential delegation to the Zoning Administrator.
The Planning Commission then briefly discussed conflicts of
interest rules.
The Planning Commission then set up a subcommittee including
Marcelline Mahren and Jack Hovingh to review staff's progress on
its review of Downtown signage guidelines and ordinance. This
review should take place in approximately 1 1/2 weeks.
Brian Hoyt then volunteered to replace ex-Commissioner Lindsey as
Planning Commission member on the subcommittee with Ben Tarver to
review the proposed Hillside Development guidelines.
ADJOURNMENT
The work shop was adjourned at 9:30pm by Chairperson Michelotti.
Respectfully submitted,
.6`/
Brian W. Swift
Director of Planning and
Community Development
minwcpc/sm
