code. He showed a biue colored pian on the overlay which he <br />proposed would work. He felt the proposal by the Homeowners"s <br />Assn. would not work as it would require extensive retaining <br />walls. He went into length regarding the similarities of the <br />plan proposed at the June 22 meeting. He felt that the "blue" <br />plan proposed tonight was better than the approved plan. He <br />felt the driveway problems were resolved in the proposed plan, <br />but not in the approved plan. He stated that he has worked with <br />Mr. Swift on the "blue" plan proposed tonight but not on the <br />approved plan. He stated that the proposed plan had received <br />2/i approval by the Homeowner`s Assn. which is in accordance <br />with the CC3cRs. He said he would agree to reducing the grading <br />and would be willing to continue working with staff. He stated <br />that he had a meeting of 3-4 hours with the Assn. He felt that <br />the retaining wall proposed by the Assn. would be unsightly for <br />Mr. Balch. He estimated that the difference between the <br />proposed plan tonight and the approved plan was about 444 yards <br />of dirt. He requested approval of the "blue" plan proposed <br />tonight. <br />Chairman Hoyt asked Mr. Swift to comment on the new proposed <br />plan. Mr. Swift explained that the proposed plan would require <br />nose grading, but that the grading is not that visible. <br />Chairman Hoyt asked Mr. Swift if in comparing the plans, whether <br />the proposed plan is any more damaging than the other. <br />Mr. 5wif t said the proposed plan was slightly superior. <br />Commissioner Tarver asked Mr. Swift if he had been involved in <br />the meeting with the Blacks and the Assn. Mr. Swift said he was <br />able to attend for the first hour. <br />Commissioner Tarver asked Mr. Black if the people opposing the <br />plan were present at the meeting. Mr. Black said they have not <br />seen the proposed plan. <br />Commissioner Hovingh asked Mr. Black to paint out where the dirt <br />was to be removed. Mr. Black pointed this out on the overlay. <br />He said if this plan were approved, they would attempt to <br />mitigate the area in question. <br />Commissioner Mahern asked if the proposed plan tonight would put <br />the top of the house at 622'. Mr. Black said it would probably <br />be 626 ' . <br />Commissioner Mahern asked what the height of the Heritage tree <br />is. Mr. Black said it is 63G" with the trunk being at 584'. He <br />added they will save that tree at all costs. <br />Mr. Black discussed the driveway configuration with Commissioner <br />Mahern. <br />Jim Balch, 14 Grey Eagle Ct. stated he is a member of the Grey <br />Eagle Ct.
