Resolution No. 90-147 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />Section 2: The ballot language shall be as follows: <br /> <br />"Shall the General Plan of the City of <br />Pleasanton be amended (a) to designate the <br />land within the Ridgelands as 'Public Health <br />and Safety', the most restrictive land use <br />designation currently available, and (b) to <br />have the future of the Ridgelands be studied <br />by a citizens committee and then voted upon <br />by the people of Pleasanton?" <br /> <br />YES <br /> <br />NO <br /> <br />Section 3: The City Clerk is directed to transmit a copy of the <br /> initiative to the City Attorney to prepare an impartial <br /> analysis to be placed on the ballot. <br /> <br />Section 4: The City Council authorizes arguments for the <br /> initiative to be filed by the Mayor, three <br /> councilmembers, and a fifth person to be designated by <br /> the Mayor. Said argument must be submitted to the City <br /> Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on August 13, 1990. <br /> <br />Section 5: <br /> <br /> The City Council hereby adopts the procedures set <br />forth in Sections 5014.5 of the Elections Code <br />regarding submission of rebuttal arguments and <br />authorizes rebuttal arguments to be filed by the <br />persons as provided in Section 4 above. <br /> <br />Section 6: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
