Their purpose is to work: with local <br />governments and agencies to insure that as communities glare <br />projects that they plan for the maximum possible use of hitie-eg <br />trails. He had been a participarit for the last three years in <br />hit;~ing on Pleasanton Pidge with hundr eds of area citizens. He <br />e~;pressed !`t©pe treat the maximum good f csr public spaces would be <br />explored thoroughly and that footpaths that would learj tie the <br />F:egiorea F'art~ would be made accessible. In addition, he <br />suggested they think: about linG~ing together parcels of ridge <br />land park-s for ever-yaree to enjoy. He wished the Commissioners good iuct; in <br />proceeding with the project. <br />f~arjorie La Ear of F'ARC complimented the developer on the <br />proposed project and supported it. She e;~pr-essed some cc,ncerrs <br />about the visual impact the project would gave on the area, <br />along with opposing any removal of Heritage trees. She <br />recommended planting of saplings to replace any that had t;_r be <br />removed. Stye expressed concern regarding the impact of the <br />protect on s~ildiife and recommended wildlife crossings. <br />f~largaret Tracy, President cf F'AF~C, read a letter representing <br />F'AF~C. ~4hile in favor of the project, she urged that all the <br />trees be Ieft in tact. She commended the Commissioners <br />regarding the EIF, ' s and its environmental sensi ti vi t•{.
