Report on Granny Flats <br />Mr. Swift presented the report, stating no formal action is <br />being required at the present tame. However, he said he would <br />like some input from the Commissioners regarding the granny <br />flats (secondary dwelling units). <br />Commissoner Tarver stated he felt the report was well done and <br />that he would Iike to see the subject pursued further. He felt <br />he would li~;e to see a most restrictive view of it. His primary <br />concern was a possible over-parking if a number of people of a <br />block might employ granny flats at their residences. <br />Mr. Swift indicated if granny flats were widely built in the <br />city that it could eventually impact services such as parking, <br />water, sewer, etc. He said same restrictions would have to be <br />made. <br />Commissioner Ho}•t said he thought parking might became a <br />problem, especially in a cul-de-sac area and felt that could be <br />one restriction. <br />Commissioner Berger stated that she thought each case would have <br />F'age 9 <br />
