Resolution No. 90-143 Page Two not rebuttal arguments shall be allowed to be submitted and included on the ballot; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That an initiative proposing that the General Plan of the City of Pleasanton be amended regarding the Pleasanton Ridgelands be placed on the ballot for the November 6, 1990 General Municipal Election, a copy of which Initiative Ordinance is attached to this resolution. The measure shall be designated by letter of the County of Alameda. Section 2: The ballot language shall be as follows: "Shall the General Plan of the City of Pleasanton be amended to designate the land within the Ridgelands as 'Ridgelands Agriculture and Grazing' and to provide that residential uses within the Ridgelands shall generally be limited to one unit per 160 acres and be within 300 feet of a public road?" YES NO Section 3: Section 4: Section 5: Section 6: The City Clerk is directed to transmit a copy of the initiative to the City Attorney to prepare an impartial analysis to be placed on the ballot. The City Council authorizes arguments against the initiative to be filed by the Mayor, three councilmembers, and a fifth person to be designated by the Mayor, said argument to be submitted to the City Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on August 13, 1990. The City Council hereby adopts the procedures set forth in Sections 4015.5 and 5014.5 of the Elections Code regarding submission of rebuttal arguments and authorizes rebuttal arguments to be filed by the persons as provided in Section 4 above. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
