2.2 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS PHASE <br /> <br />2.2.1 <br /> <br /> Based on the approved Design Development Documents and any further adjustments <br />in the scope or quality of the Project or in the Project budget authorized by the CITY, the <br />CONSULTANT shall prepare, for approval by the CITY, Construction Documents consisting of <br />Drawings and Specifications setting forth in detail the requirements for the construction of the <br />Project. <br /> <br />2.2.2 The CONSULTANT shall integrate Construction Documents prepared by the CITY's <br /> Consultants into the Construction and Bid Documents. <br /> <br />2.2.3 <br /> <br /> The CONSULTANT shall prepare, for approval by the CITY, the necessary bidding <br />information, bidding forms, the Conditions of the Contract, and the form of Agreement between <br />the CITY and the Contractor. <br /> <br />2.2.4 <br /> <br /> The CONSULTANT will prepare a draft Construction Contract and General Conditions <br />for review by the CITY and its attorney. The CITY recognizes that the CONSULTANT is not a <br />lawyer nor is an expert in legal matters. <br /> <br />2.2.5 <br /> <br /> The CONSULTANT shall advise the CITY of any adjustment to previous Statements of <br />Probable Construction Costs indicated by changes in requirements or general market condi- <br />tions and prepare a final construction estimate prior to Council approval of Plans and <br />Specifications. <br /> <br />2.2.6 <br /> <br /> The CONSULTANT shall prepare necessary documents for the CITY in connection with <br />the CITY's responsibility for filing documents required for the approval of governmental <br />authorities having jurisdiction over the Project. <br /> <br />2.2.7 <br /> <br /> The CONSULTANT shall assist the CITY in making the final furniture selection and shall <br />prepare Bidding and Installation Documents for furniture for this project. The CONSULTANT <br />shall advise the CITY of any adjustments to the previous Estimate of Furniture Cost. <br /> <br />2.3 BIDDING PHASE OR NEGOTIATION PHASE <br /> <br />2.3.1 <br /> <br /> The CONSULTANT, following the CITY's approval of the Construction Documents and <br />of the latest preliminary estimate of Construction Cost, shall assist the CITY in obtaining bids or <br />negotiated proposals and assist in awarding and preparing contracts for construction. <br /> <br />2.3.2 <br /> <br />The CONSULTANT shall receive and respond to questions during bidding. <br /> <br />C2 <br /> <br /> <br />
