20.4 <br /> <br />NOTE: The burden of proof as to the job relatedness of <br />specific educational levels shall be upon the employee. <br />The Educational Standards Committee may require the <br />employee to furnish any documentation deemed necessary in <br />the Committee's determination of job relatedness. <br /> <br />Ce <br /> <br />Determining successful completion of the educational <br />level for which educational incentive pay is to be <br />received. <br /> <br />Enrollment Procedures <br /> <br />Employees wish to enroll in the Educational Incentive Plan must <br />do the following: <br /> <br />ae <br /> <br />Not later than 45 days prior to enrolling in a junior <br />college, college or university, make written application <br />to the Education Standards Committee in order that the <br />Committee may: (1) determine the employee's eligibility <br />to enroll in the Education Incentive Plan and <br />(2) determine the job relatedness of the educational level <br />to be pursued. The Educational Standards Committee shall <br />inform the employee in writing of their determination <br />not later than 30 days following their receipt of the <br />employee's request to enroll in the Educational Incentive <br />Pay Plan. <br /> <br />The written application submitted to the Educational <br />Standards Committee must include the following: <br /> <br />A description of the educational level to be <br />pursued; <br /> <br />Employee's pursuing a specific number of college <br />credits as set forth in this plan in lieu of a <br />degree must submit a list of courses to be taken. <br />Of the college credits submitted, elective (non-job <br />related), courses shall not exceed the proportionate <br />number of elective courses permitted under approved <br />college degree programs. <br /> <br />Prior to enrollment in a junior college, college, or <br />university, the employee must have received written <br />approval from the Education Standards Committee as to <br />his/her eligibility to enroll in the Educational <br />Incentive Plan and the job relatedness of the educational <br />level to be pursued. <br /> <br />NOTE: No employee shall receive educational incentive <br />pay for any educational level attained unless he/she <br />has received advanced written approval from the <br />Educational Standards Committee as set forth in this <br />section. <br /> <br />- 28 - <br /> <br /> <br />
