BACKGROUND
For a comprehensive discussion of the background of this item, please see the attached
December 19, 2006 staff report. Over the past three months City staff has continued to
meet with the park owners and the park residents in an effort to reach consensus on
terms and conditions for a new rent stabilization agreement (the alternative would be
the City's rent stabilization ordinance with amendments). Progress is being made but
additional time is necessary in order to complete the negotiations. The Second
Amendment (attached) simply extends the term of the current (2002) agreement to July
31, 2007. The extension does not affect the rents of any existing mobilehome park
resident.
Submitted by: ~ Approved by:
,~
Michael H.
