THE CITY OF <br />~.~ <br />~'L£~S~4NTON® <br />March 20, 2007 <br />Public Works Department <br />TITLE: APPROVE CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND CONSTRUCTION <br />SERVICES CONTRACTS WITH TETRA TECH, INC. AND GARBER <br />ENGINEERING FOR $239,048 AND $81,600, RESPECTIVELY, FOR <br />THE VINEYARD CORRIDOR WATER BOOSTER PUMP STATION AND <br />TURNOUT NO. 6 IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS <br />SUMMARY <br />The City Council awarded the construction contract for the Vineyard Corridor Water <br />Booster Pump Station and Turnout No. 6 Improvement Project on January 16, 2007. <br />The two professional services contracts being recommended for approval provide the <br />necessary construction management and construction shop drawing/specialty <br />inspection services for these two water projects. This report provides a summary of the <br />professional engineering services to be provided to the City within these two contracts, <br />along with the consultant selection process. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the attached "Contract for <br />Consultant Services" with Tetra Tech, Inc. to provide construction management <br />services for the Vineyard Corridor Water Booster Pump Station and Turnout No. 6 <br />for an amount of $239,048. <br />2. Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the attached "Contract for <br />Consultant Services" with Garber Engineering to provide construction-related <br />services for the Vineyard Corridor Water Booster Pump Station and Turnout No. 6 <br />for an amount of $81,600. <br />15 <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />The funding for the contracts was previously included as part of a loan being made from <br />the City's Water Fund to the VCSP fee account infrastructure fund. <br />
