Steve Otto
From: now
Sent: Sunday, February 04, 2007 9:52 AM
To: Steve Otto
Cc: Dick Borchers; AASP -TPS; Denis Haire; Johnny and Tracy; Mike Rooney; Jeanine Elster; Mitch Kaelin
Subject: Planning Commission Comments - 5765 Valley Avenue Site
Steve:
I hope all is well.
In response to the upcoming Public Hearing for the Property at 5765 Valley Ave (The "old bank" building). I would like
to share the general consensus of several of our neighbors, myself and my wife included.
1) The main concern we all have is what will be built at that site. There is concern a fast food establishment or 7 -11
type store would bring in late night traffic, noise, and possibly trouble.
2) The Valley /Hopyard Intersection in also a major gateway to both Harvest Park Middle school and Walnut Grove
Elementary school, with children crossing that intersection in the morning and afternoon. Additional traffic from a fast
food operation will only add to the safety concerns of the children navigating that intersection twice daily.
3) It is good that something new will replace the old bank, we simply would like to have a say in the development of
our neighborhood, and look to you to share our concerns with the Commission.
With that said, I hope to stay in touch with you as the discussion regarding this property continues. Please let me know
if there is anything our neighborhood can do to make sure our voice is heard.
Your time and attention to our concerns are certainly appreciated.
I have copied some of our neighbors who also may want to comment on this issue.
Regards, Michael Magnano
5813 Corte Mente
Cell phone number:
2/5/2007
