Section 4. Association Representative~ <br /> <br />City Employees who are official representatives of the <br />Association shall be given reasonable time off with pay <br />to attend meetings with management representatives, or <br />to be present at hearings where matters within the scope <br />of representation are being considered. The use of <br />official time for this purpose shall be reasonable and <br />shall not interfere with the performance of City <br />services as determined by the City. Such employee <br />representatives shall submit written requests for <br />excused absences to the Police Chief, with an <br />information copy to the Personnel Officer, at least two <br />(2) calendar days prior to the scheduled meeting <br />whenever possible. No more than two (2) employees shall <br />be excused for such purposes. The Association shall <br />submit a list of the officers of the Association to the <br />City Manager and notify the City Manager in writing at <br />such time there are any changes in such Association <br />officers. <br /> <br />Section 5. Salaries <br /> <br />5.1 <br /> <br />Rates of Pay <br /> <br />The salary ranges for all employees in the Police <br />Employee Unit as set forth below represent, for each <br />classification, the standard rate of pay for full time <br />employment and represent the total compensation due <br />employees, except for overtime compensation and other <br />benefits specifically provided by the City. Effective <br />March 1, 1990 the salary ranges of all represented <br />classifications shall be adjusted to reflect increases <br />in cost of living and the need to maintain market <br />competitiveness. Said adjustment shall provide monthly <br />salary ranges effective March 1, 1990 as follows: <br /> <br />Classification Step A Step B Step C Step D Step E <br /> <br />Police Officer 2892 3038 3191 3359 3523 <br />Police Sergeant 3446 3610 3795 3982 4185 <br /> <br />Effective September 1, 1990, the salary range of each <br />classification shall be increased to provide monthly <br />salary ranges as follows: <br /> <br />Classification Step A Step B Step C Step D Step E <br /> <br />Police Officer 2921 3068 3223 3393 3558 <br />Police Sergeant 3480 3646 3833 4022 4227 <br /> <br />5.2 <br /> <br />Field Training Officer Pay <br /> <br />Qualified Field Training Officers shall receive an <br />amount equal to five percent (5%) of their base monthly <br /> <br />Memorandum of Understanding <br />Page 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
