<br />· Truck Deliveries: <br /> <br />Delivery hours are proposed to be 24 hours per day. However, Home Depot tends to dis- <br />courage deliveries during peak customer periods. <br /> <br />Approximately 75% of deliveries to Home Depot are from Home Depot trucks with the <br />remaining dcliveries from vendor-owned trucks. Approximately 20 delivcries are antici- <br />pated per day with an estimatcd 102 deliveries per week. <br /> <br />Light-duty and semi-trailcr trucks dcliver matcrials; typically 60% to 75% of the trucks <br />arc semi-trailers. Lumber delivery trucks are typically t1atbed, open-air models. The <br />garden center delivcry trucks are typically closed-box models approximately 50 feet in <br />length. Merchandise sold on the weekends and in thc previous week would be ordered on <br />Sunday and Monday and delivered throughout the remaining days in thc week. <br /> <br />· Lumber Off-Loading: <br /> <br />A lumber off-loading arc a for delivcries frorn flatbed trucks would be located on the <br />northwcst corner of the building. The lumber area will have a concrete staging area ap- <br />proximately 100 feet by 45 feet to allow merchandisc to be quickly unloaded, avoiding <br />unnecessary truck idling. The lumber loading door is approximately 20 fcct wide. <br /> <br />· Loading Dock: <br /> <br />Deliveries from enclosed trucks would be received in the deprcssed loading dock located <br />at the rear of the building. The loading dock would be covcred as an urban storrn water <br />runoff measure and will include thrce truck bays and a solid dry trash compactor. Dry rc- <br />fuse would bc loaded into the compactor from a chutc inside the Home Depot building. <br />Thc compactor would have a capacity of approximately 40 cubic yards and will feed into <br />an enclosed bin that would be cmptied twice weckly. A 105-foot diametcr truck turn- <br />around is provided at southeast area of thc site by the garden ccntcr. <br /> <br />· Garden Center: <br /> <br />Garden Ccnter deliveries would be rcceived behind the garden center at a 25-foot by 25- <br />foot loading arc a shown at the southwest corner of thc Garden Ccntcr. <br /> <br />· Customcr Pick Up/Delivcry: <br /> <br />A porte-cochere is located on the northwest side of the building to enable custorners to <br />load mcrchandise into their vehicles undcr cover.
