The Planning Commission reviewed the proposal at two public work sessions held on January
11, 2006 and May 24, 2006, attended by several neighbors. Statf has received emails and phone
calls from concerned neighbors questioning the size and intensity of the proposed developrnent
and the proposed Horne Depot store given that there is already one Home Depot in Pleasanton,
on Johnson Drive, and another one nearby in Livermore. They believe that the Horne Depot re-
tail center will be corne a major retaillcomrnercial destination point, which will substantially
change the character of the Stanley Business Park and would additionally impact traffic conges-
tion.

II.
