PCUP-155/PDR-513, Trinity Lutheran Church <br />Application fora conditional use permit and for design review approval for the <br />expansion of the existing Trinity Lutheran Church as follows: (1) replacement of the <br />existing temporary modular buildings with the construction of an approximately <br />8,110-square-foot one-story education building to the east of the existing church facility; <br />(2) construction of an approximately 3,108-square-foot multipurpose room addition to be <br />attached to the south of the existing church facility, fronting Hopyard Road; <br />(3) expansion of the existing parking lot; and (4) on-site landscaping removal and <br />replanting. The Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 1225 Hopyard Road and is zoned <br />R-1-6,500 (Single-Family Residential) District. <br />Approved per staff, with the following modifications: (1) Extend the lapsing provision of <br />the site plan and the design review approval from one year to 18 months; (2) Replace <br />Condition No. 7 with the following language: "Prior to the City's issuance of building <br />permits, the applicant shall pay the school impact fees as required by the Pleasanton <br />Unified School District;" (3) Add a new condition that the applicant shall provide an <br />unpaved, maintained pedestrian pathway to be located within the landscape area <br />between the north boundaries from the Golden Road sidewalk to the permanent <br />building, subject to the review and approval of the Planning Director; and (4) Add a new <br />condition that the applicant shall apply for a temporary conditional use permit to allow <br />the existing modular building to be maintained on the site until the construction of the <br />permanent building is completed and can be occupied, at which time the temporary <br />conditional use permit shall be vacated. <br />Vote: 4-0-1 (Pearce absent). <br />Consideration of a possible revocation or modification of an existing conditional use <br />permit allowing on-site alcoholic beverage consumption after 10:00 p.m. in conjunction <br />with the Taqueria EI Balazo restaurant located at 5331 Hopyard Road.
