REIMBURSABLE EXPENSES Actual expenditures made by Tanaka Design Group are reimbursable at cost plus 10% for coordination and processing, and are included in the fees proposed above. Examples of reimbursable expenses are travel in connection with the project, vehicular mileage (at $0.40 per mile for travel beyond a 100 mile radius of San Francisco), soil testing and analysis, long distance telephone calls or facsimile transmissions, reproduction costs, postage, delivery, photography, model building, rental or purchase of special equipment and materials, and fees paid for securing approval of authorities having jurisdiction of the project. Note: we assume that all printing of bid documents will be conducted and paid for by others. C. REIMBURSABLE SUBCONSULTANTS: Subconsultants to Tanaka Design Group are not anticipated and are not included in the fees stated above. If required, professional service fees and reimbursable expenses of authorized Subconsultants of the project will be reimbursed at cost plus 10% for coordination and processing. D. ADDITIONAL SERVICES: Additional Services requested by the Client that are beyond the scope of services listed above will be on an hourly basis at the following rates: • Principal: $125 per hour • Associate: $105 per hour • Staff: $90 per hour Additional Services are not included in the above maximum fee. These services will not be pertormed without prior approval by the Client. Examples of additional services are attending meetings requested by the Client that exceed the quantity of meeting proposed, preparing and submitting drawings and documents more often than what is proposed, or revising drawings due to changing program, schedule or budgets. If the established program, construction budget or schedule changes significantly, or after the various documents or products prepared by Tanaka Design Group have been approved, the Client makes a decision which, for its proper execution involves Additional Services and expenses for changes in or additions to the documents or products, or if the Landscape Architect be put to labor or expenses by delays caused by the Client, his client, his agents, the Contractor, or by the delinquency or insolvency of either, or as a result of damage by fire or other casualty, the Client shall compensate the Landscape Architect for such Additional Services and expenses in accordance with the paragraphs above. E. METHOD OF PAYMENT: Professional services are billed on the first of each month based on a time and material plus expenses basis. 3. EXISTING INFORMATION The Client will furnish the Landscape Architect with any plans of the site showing existing information and architectural items, including plumbing, electrical, grading, drainage, irrigation, and mechanical plans, and GIS photographs. 4. SCHEDULE OF WORK This proposal assumes that our work will begin immediately upon your authorization. Page 3
