EI Charro Road widening to 6 lanes from 1-580 to Jack London <br /> <br />. East Dublin Properties roadway network <br /> <br />· New Livermore General Plan roadway network including only 2 lanes on <br />First Street through downtown. <br /> <br />· An HOV lane on north 680 from Milpitas to SR 84 <br /> <br />See the graphic of roadway improvements in the Appendix for details. <br /> <br />Daily Trip Generation and Distribution <br />The daily trip generation step quantifies the total magnitude of travel (person trips) <br />generated in each zone based upon land uses within the zone. To derive more <br />accurate projections of future travel behavior, the model stratifies trip ends by six <br />trip purposes: <br /> <br />. Home-Work (trips between residences and places of employment) <br /> <br />· Home-Shop (trips between residences and places of retail employment or <br />personal errands) <br /> <br />· Home-Social/Rec (trips between residences and social visits or recreational <br />attractions) <br /> <br />· Home-Local School (trips between residences and local public elementary, <br />middle and high schools) <br /> <br />· Home-Regional School (trips between residences and regional schools and <br />local private schools) <br /> <br />· Non-Horne-Based (linked trips between uses) <br /> <br />Splitting the trips into purposes allows for a better understanding of the <br />relationship between jobs and housing, by separating commute trips. It also <br />provides more control over the trip distribution, since different types of trips involve <br />different trip lengths.
