<br />awareness of this unique asset and to integrate it more fully into the urban design fabric of the City.

<br />Bridge crossing improvements to open up views of the Arroyo along with special lighting, improved
<br />signage, and appropriate landscaping at the Bernal Avenue, First Street, Santa Rita Road, Division
<br />Street, and Valley 1\ venue crossings should be considered. ~111is could enhance the entries to the
<br />Downtown and increase awareness of the Arroyo's existence and visual richness.

<br />Wildlife habitats along the Atroyo should be identified to ensure that plans for increased visibility and
<br />access arc consistent with the preservation of these areas. Special efforts should be tnude to ensure
<br />that future flood control activities maintain the natural character of this waterway.
