<br />r <br /> <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />III <br /> <br />pLEASANTONo <br /> <br />City Council <br />Staff Report <br /> <br />January 16, 2007 <br />Public Works Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE <br />PLEASANTON POLICE DEPARTMENT DISPATCH REMODEL, <br />PROJECT NO. 018047 <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council take the following action at the <br />meeting of January 16, 2007: <br /> <br />1. Accept the improvements for the subject project. <br /> <br />2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the <br />subject project. <br /> <br />3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $18,092.79 to <br />CBC Construction, thirty days after fIling the Notice of Completion. <br /> <br />4. Authorize transfer of $1,500 to Police Department budget for update <br />of CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) electronics performed by <br />Police Department contractor. <br /> <br />5. Authorize transfer of remaining project funds of $24,907 to the <br />Facilities Renovation Fund (043900-4385). <br /> <br />SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Construction of the subject project is complete and ready for acceptance. <br />The subject project was awarded to CBC Construction Company in the <br />amount of $124,986, along with bid Alternate #1 in the amount of <br />$5,374, for a total bid amount of $130,360. The project consisted of the <br />remodeling of the existing City of Pleasanton Police Department Dispatch <br />Center and its expansion into the existing Records/Clerical area. Work in <br />the dispatch area included a new ceiling and lighting, upgraded power and <br />data cabling, updated CCTV electronics, new carpet tile floor and new <br /> <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
