The air bubbler sysfem may no longer be needed, and we
will evaluate the ultrasonic system and its useful life, and determine whether it can he reused for
the new pump station.

. We understand lhat the air compressor for the air ejection system to diluli) odor Rl'llerated in the
wet well andihrce main are /lo/functioning well and may need to he replaced We will further
re-evaluate the air compressor system and identify the most economic way to ensure its
functionality and possihility of relocating it to the new pump station for continuing operation.

Besides these known deficiencies and following further site investigation and study of all addition
existing pump station drawings, study report, master plan, we would like to achieve the following
tasks:

. Further evaluate the pump station operating criteria. capacities, operational constraints.

. Evaluate and investigate all other components of the pump station equipment, structures and
appurtenances to identify their deficiencies.

. We will develop a recommended list for the short term improvements for the existing pump
station system, structure and appurtenances to ensure the existing pump station he fully
operational for up to three years prior to the new pump station in operation.

2.4 Meet with City staff to review the recommended improvements to the existing pump station in order
to keep it fully operational for the next three years.

We will meet with the City staff to review and discuss the recommended list of improvements for the
existing pump station. We will discuss the pros and cons of incorporating the proposed temporary
improvement equipments into the new pump station design,

2.5 Following reaching consensus 0 these recommendations between City staff and consultant, develop
design plans and specifications for the recommended short-term improvements for the existing pump
station. Said plans should be in final state so as to be incorporated into the City's General Condition
Specifications for public bid

After the review meeting with the City staff and has mutual agreement on the recommended
temporary improvements, BKF will provide the following items:

. Provide design plans and specifications for the recommended short-term improvements to the
existing pump station and incorporate into the City's General Condition Specifications,
. BKF will suhmit to the City bid documents including drawings, hid schedule, specifications, and
cost estimate, and assist City to issue for hid, and provide bid services.

Task 3: DeveloD Alternative Analvsis For New PumD Station Construction- RFP Slales:

3,1. Develop preliminary pump station reconstruction pre-design alternatives. BKF will develop all
pump station reconstruction alternatives that would be feasible and cost effective for the pump
station site, These alternatives mayor may not include both dry well stations (both custom cast-in-

-;
