Qv~rnight Travel. For purposes of compensation, travel which occurs within the <br />employee's normal daily hours of work will be counted as hours worked whether <br />or not said travel time occurs on the employee's normal work day. <br /> <br />1. Com_oensated Time: <br /> <br />Only time delineated below is compensated: <br />(a) Hours spent in attendance at conference sessions. <br /> <br />Travel time corresponding to employee's regular dally hours of <br />work exclusive of normal meal periods. <br /> <br />.~glRP.~: If employee's regular daily work schedule is 8 a.m. - <br />5 p.m. with an hour off for lunch (12 noon - 1 p.m.), hours spent <br />traveling between 8 a.m. - 12 noon and 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. are <br />compensated regardless of the day of the week which the travel <br />OCCURS. <br /> <br />If an employee is offered public transportation but requests and is <br />given appwval to use higher automobile, travel time considered <br />hours worked shall be the shortest travel time to the intended <br />destination between the two forms of transportation. <br /> <br />2. Non-Compensated Time: <br /> <br />All other time (other than time delineated in item [1] above) is not <br />compensated. Non-compensated time includes but is not limited to: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Travel time during hours outside of the employee's regular daily <br />hours of work. <br /> <br />~: Travel time after 5 p.m. for any employee who <br />regularly works 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. <br /> <br />(b) Meal break~. <br /> <br />(c) Time spent at conference other than attending conference sessions. <br /> <br />Rate of Pay: Compensated conference and travel time occurring on an <br />employee's regular work day in excess of the employee's normal work <br />day is paid at 1% time. <br /> <br />Compensated conference and travel hours occurring on the employee's day <br />off are compensated at 1 Ih time. <br /> <br />All other compensated hours are paid at straight time. <br /> <br />City of Pleasanton <br />Administrative Diroctive <br /> <br />November 19, 1992 <br /> <br /> <br />
