CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-200 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A MITIGATED NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION FOR THE APPLICATION OF PRUDENTIAL <br />INSURANCE COMPANY AND ROBERTSON HOMES FOR A <br />GE1dERAL PLAN AMENDMENT, REZONING AND <br />DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPROVAL AS FILED UNDER CASES <br />GP-91-4/P[7D-81-30-24M/PUD-81-30-53D <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of December 10, 1991, the City Council <br />received a proposed mitigated negative declaration for <br />the application of Prudential Insurance Company and <br />Robertson Homes for a General Plan Amendment to change <br />the land use designation of a 79.39 acre site from <br />Business Park (Industrial/Office/Commercial) to High <br />Density Residential); an application to change the PUD <br />zoning of the 79.39 acre property from <br />PUD-Industrial/Commercial/Office to Planned Unit <br />Development - High Density Residential (PUD-HDR); and an <br />application for approval of a development plan for 878 <br />apartment units (including 25 percent low-income units) <br />for 27.08 acres of the site; and <br />WHEREAS, the site is located at 5675 Stoneridge Drive, bordered by <br />Tassajara Creek on the east, Stoneridge and Owens Drives <br />on the south and north and Hacienda Drive on the west; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council received and reviewed the Initial Study <br />dated June 21, 1991 and received the recommendations of <br />the staff and Planning Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the <br />public was given the opportunity to comment on the <br />environmental impacts of the proposed General Plan <br />Amendment, rezoning and development plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed the potential impacts in <br />accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines <br />governing the preparation of Negative Declarations and <br />Environmental Impact Reports; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed General Plan <br />Amendment, rezoning and development plan would not have <br />any significant adverse effects on the environment; <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed project will <br />have no potential for adverse impacts on the site's <br />wildlife; <br />
