8/23/89 <br />The heliport has secured FAA permits. The present <br />use located nearby has operated satisfactorily, and <br />the major impact -- noise -- will be less at all <br />sensitive locations (see acoustical report). The <br />flights utilize the I-580 corridor to mask sound and <br />minimize risk to residential or other occupied uses. <br />The one building possibly affected, an office <br />building under construction, is a daytime use <br />building, constructed with closed window criteria, <br />and its users should be little affected by the <br />minimal operations proposed. <br />C. That the proposed conditional use will comply with <br />each of the applicable provisions of this chapter. <br />That the proposed conditional use will comply with <br />each of the applicable provisions of the zoning <br />ordinance. The use, as conditioned, will meet all <br />General Plan and zoning ordinance requirements. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: Approves Case UP-89-31, the application of Prudential <br />Insurance Company of America for a conditional use <br />permit to allow the operation of a heliport facility, <br />including a landing pad, on-site parking, landscaping, <br />and related improvements on the property located on the <br />north side of Owens Drive opposite its intersection with <br />Willow Road subject to the conditions shown on Exhibit <br />"A" attached hereto and made part of this case by <br />reference. <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective 15 days after <br />its passage and adoption. <br />THIS RESOLUTION PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ON THE 23RD DAY OF AUGUST 1989 BY THE <br />FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Berger, Hovingh, Mahern, McGuirk, and <br />Chairman Michelotti <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Horan <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />DATE: August 23, 1989 <br />ATTEST: <br />Brian W.
