PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. PC-89-68 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A COMPREHENSIVE SIGN PROGRAM FOR <br />RETAIL PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT COMPANY AS FILED UNDER CASE <br />Z-89-340 (PROJECT PUD-85-8-4D) <br />WHEREAS, Retail Property Development Company has applied for <br />design review approval for a comprehensive signing <br />program for a proposed retail commercial complex to be <br />located on an approximately 3.2-acre site located on the <br />.north side of Owens Drive approximately 400 feet east of <br />the intersection of Chabot Drive and Owens Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development) - Industrial/Commercial and Offices <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of June 14, 1989, <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the individual <br />tenant, site entry signs, and freeway-oriented project <br />identification sign are appropriate for the site. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approves the application of Retail Property <br />Development Company for design review approval for a <br />comprehensive signing program for a proposed retail <br />commercial complex to be located on an approximately <br />3.2-acre site located on the north side of Owens Drive <br />approximately 400 feet east of the intersection of <br />Chabot and Owens Drive subject to the following <br />conditions: <br />1. That the sign program shall substantially conform <br />to the sign criteria and plans and elevations dated <br />March 21, 1989 on file with the~Planning <br />Department, except as modified herein. <br />2. That there shall be no tenant or project <br />identification signage on the rear elevations of <br />either building in the complex. <br />3. That the colors to be utilized for fascia of the <br />channel letters of the sign program shall be <br />submitted to the Planning Director for review and <br />
