PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. PC-89-55 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CASE UP-89-27, THE APPLICATION OF <br />KEYSTONE ADULT LEARNING CENTER <br />WHEREAS, Keystone Adult Learning Center has applied for a <br />conditional use permit to establish a school for <br />disabled adults within an existing light industrial <br />building in the Valley Business Park located at 1241 <br />Quarry Lane; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of May 10, 1989, <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the following findings: <br />A. That the proposed location of the conditional use <br />is in accordance with the objectives of the zoning <br />ordinance and the purposes of the district in which <br />the site is located. <br />The proposed use is compatible with the permitted <br />and conditionally permitted uses possible under the <br />PUD District. The mix of uses in Valley Business <br />Park has been characterized by small, local <br />businesses which will not be advprovisionsaford by <br />the proposed trade school use. <br />this category of use have been made for other <br />business park locations in the City. Adequate <br />access is provided to this site via the adjacent <br />streets. The location is in close proximity to <br />residential neighborhoods and should be convenient <br />for potential clients in the area. <br />B. That the proposed location of the conditional use <br />and the conditions under which it would be operated <br />or maintained will not be detrimental to the public <br />health, safety, or welfare, or materially injurious <br />to the properties or improvements in the vicinity. <br />The proposed use will provide facilities in <br />conformance with local and State regulations and <br />the operation of the use will notfaredeorlbental to <br />the public health, safety, or wel , <br />materially injurious to the site or vicinity. On- <br />site activities will be subject to State <br />regulations as well. Interior improvements will be <br />subject to Building and Fire Department permits. <br /> <br />
