Resolution No. PC-89-49 <br />Page 2 - 4/26/89 <br />with the relocation of Dr. Larry Scharg, DVM, from <br />Spring to the Hopyard Village Center. <br />The proposed use is also the type of use set forth <br />in the revitalization strategies of the Pleasanton <br />Downtown Specific Plan that encourages <br />retail, service and commercial uses to locate on <br />Main Street. <br />C. That the proposed conditional use will comply with <br />each of the applicable provisions of the zoning <br />ordinance. <br />The subject site's Central Commercial zoning allow <br />the establishment of a veterinary clinic with a <br />conditional use permit. The grant of the <br />conditional use permit to the applicant to operate <br />a veterinary clinic under the prescribed <br />conditions, gives the district zoning regulation <br />the flexibility to achieve the objectives of the <br />Municipal Code and the Pleasanton Downtown <br />Specific Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from <br />the requirements of the California Environmental Quality <br />Act (CEQA). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approves Case UP-89-15, the application of Serene A. <br />Chan for a conditional use permit to operate a <br />veterinary clinic to be located at 234 Main Street, <br />Suite "B" subject to the following conditions: <br />1. That the use shall conform substantially to the <br />location and details of operation, Exhibit A (dated <br />March 31, 1989), on file with the Planning <br />Department. <br />2. That if at any time in the future, loud noises, <br />traffic problems, litter, etc., associated with the <br />proposed use is found by the Planning Director to <br />be to the detriment of the surrounding uses or to <br />the City in general, the Planning Director may <br />refer this matter to the Planning Commission which <br />may review and if necessary attach additional <br />conditions to the subject conditional use permit. <br />3. That the applicant inform her clientele and post a <br />sign in a conspicuous location in the reception <br />
