PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. PC-89-9 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A REZONING AND <br />DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR DR. AND MRS. WILLIAM YEE AS FILED <br />UNDER CASE PUD-87-19 <br />WHEREAS, Dr. and Mrs. William Yee have applied to rezone an <br />irregularly-shaped 50.36 acre site located on the west <br />side of Foothill Road directly across from Foothill High <br />School from the "A" (Agricultural) District to the PUD - <br />Low and R~aral Density Residential District and to <br />approve a development plan consisting of 23 detached, <br />single-family units; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of February 8, <br />1989, the Planning Commission considered all public <br />testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact Report was prepared for <br />PUD-87-19 and on February 8, 1989 a resolution accepting <br />the Environmental Impact Report as complete and adequate <br />was adopted; and <br />WHEREAS, the EIR indicates significant environmental effects <br />would result from the project, as summarized in the <br />Environmental Impact Findings, Exhibit "A"; and <br />WHEREAS, CEQA and state and local EIR guidelines adopted pursuant <br />thereto require the Planning Commission to make specific <br />findings where an EIR identifies one or more significant <br />effects which may result form approval of the project; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this Planning Commission finds that potentially <br />significant environmental effects either (1) have been <br />eliminated by the revised plan and by agreed-upon- <br />project_conditions of approval; or (2) have had all <br />feasible mitigation measures/alternatives incorporated <br />into the plan and that remaining significant effects our <br />outweighed by specified benefits, all as shown in the <br />attached Draft CEQA findings; <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the plan is <br />consistent with the General Plan and the PUD ordinance <br />considerations and purposes. <br />
