CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 99-103 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ORDERING TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS <br /> HAPPY VALLEY ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON SUBJECT TO A SPECIAL ELECTION AND <br /> CALLING FOR SUCH SPECIAL ELECTION BY MAIL <br /> BALLOT FOR NOVEMBER 16, 1999 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on September 15, 1998, adopted <br /> Resolution No. 98-128 initiating an annexation application to the Local Agency <br /> Formation Commission (LAFCo); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and considered the Environmental Impact Report <br /> previously prepared for the annexation and has adopted findings regarding the <br /> impacts of the project which are described in Resolution No. 98-83, which is <br /> herein incorporated by this reference; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, LAFCo adopted its Resolution Nos. 99-01 and 99-02 on March 11, 1999, making <br /> determinations and approving the proposed annexation to the City of Pleasanton of <br /> territory shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this <br /> reference; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of annexation as approved by LAFCo are contained in <br /> LAFCo Resolution Nos. 99-01 and 99-02, attached hereto as Exhibit B, and <br /> incorporated herein by this reference; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the reasons for this annexation are stated in the City Council Resolution No. <br /> 98-128; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the regular County assessment roll is utilized by the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the affected territory will be taxed for existing general bonded indebtedness of the <br /> City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, public hearings on this annexation were called for and held on July 20, 1999, and <br /> July 29, 1999; and <br /> <br /> <br />
