<br /> <br />4L <br /> <br />City Council <br />Staff Report <br /> <br />December 19, 2006 <br />Public Works Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR ANNUAL <br />CURB AND GUTTER REPLACEMENT, PROJECT NO. 055009 <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council take the following action at the <br />meeting of December 19, 2006: <br /> <br />1. Accept the improvements for the subject project. <br /> <br />2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the <br />subject project. <br /> <br />3. Authorize fmal payment to Rosas Brothers Construction, Inc. in the <br />amount of $4,810.80. <br /> <br />4. Authorize payment of retention in the amount of $10,509.20 to <br />Rosas Brothers Construction thirty (30) days after filing the Notice <br />of Completion. <br /> <br />5. Authorize the transfer of unexpended funds in the amount of $3,733 <br />into Annual Resurfacing, Project No. 065003. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Construction of the subject project is complete and ready for acceptance. <br />The subject project consisted of the removal and replacement of damaged <br />curb, gutter, sidewalk, driveway, and installation of new access ramps on <br />streets scheduled for resurfacing. The objective of this project is to <br />improve drainage and pedestrian safety. <br /> <br />SR 06:281 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
