<br />/ <br /> <br /> <br />46 <br /> <br />\. <br /> <br />pLEASANTONo <br /> <br />City Council <br />Staff Report <br /> <br />December 19, 2006 <br />Public Works Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE IRON <br />HORSE TRAIL PHASE II, CIP NO. 057016 <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council take the following action at the <br />meeting of December 19, 2006: <br /> <br />1. Accept the improvements for the subject project. <br /> <br />2. Authorize the City Clerk to fIle a Notice of Completion for the subject <br />project. <br /> <br />3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $36,678.66 to <br />McGuire & Hester thirty days after filing the Notice of Completion. <br /> <br />4. Authorize final payment to McGuire and Hester in the amount of <br />$516.80. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Construction of the subject project IS complete and is ready for <br />acceptance. The subject project consisted of constructing a <br />pedestrian/jogging trail from Mohr A venue to Santa Rita Road along the <br />existing abandoned transportation corridor (see map attached). Included <br />in the project is the installation of a pedestrian crossing beacon at Mohr <br />Avenue, landscaping, and an irrigation system along the trail corridor. <br /> <br />SR 06:190 <br />Page I of3 <br />
