<br />10. The applicants may utilize either the brick veneer or ledgestone option on the addition. The <br />applicants shall show one option on the plans submitted for issuance of building permits. A <br />sample of the brick or ledgestone material and color shall be submitted to the Planning <br />Director for review and approval prior to installation. <br /> <br />11. The new fireplace shall be a gas fireplace, pellet-fueled wood heater, or EPA certified wood- <br />burning appliance. The fireplace type shall be indicated on the floor plan submitted for <br />issuance of building permits. <br /> <br />12. The applicants are encouraged to utilize wood-framed windows for the new windows. <br />However, if wood is not used, vinyl- or fiberglass-framed windows shall be utilized that have <br />a similar frame and sash thickness as found on a traditional wood-framed window. Details <br />and sections of the windows and window treatments (trim, frame, sill, etc.) shall be shown <br />on the building permit plans and shall be subject to review and approval by the Planning <br />Director prior to issuance of a building permit. <br /> <br />13. The applicants shall design/engineer the proposed foundation footing of the additions so <br />that no load is placed on the existing rear yard retaining wall at 4546 Second Street. <br />Engineering calculations showing the loading of the proposed house foundation footings <br />shall be shown on the building permit plans and shall be subject to the review and approval <br />by the Chief Building Official prior to issuance of a building permit. <br /> <br />{end} <br />
