Section 6.4 <br /> <br />Vacation <br /> <br />6.4(1) Vaoation EliaibilitY/A11owance <br /> <br />Full-time management and confidential employees, except <br />fire battalion chiefs, accrue vacation with pay in <br />accordance with the following schedule: <br /> <br />Years of Service <br />First through fourth <br />Fifth through ninth <br />Tenth through fourteenth <br />Fifteenth <br />Sixteenth <br />Seventeenth <br />Eighteenth <br />Nineteenth and above <br /> <br />Hour Accrual Rate Per Month <br /> 6.667 <br /> 10.000 <br /> 13.334 <br /> 14.000 <br /> 14.667 <br /> 15.334 <br /> 16.000 <br /> 16.667 <br /> <br />The maximum monthly accrual rate shall be 16.667 hours. <br /> <br />6.4(2) <br /> <br />Fire Battalion Chiefs with six months or more of service <br />will be entitled to vacation in accordance with the <br />following schedule: <br /> <br />years of service Hg~r Accrual Rate Per Month <br />First through fourth 12.000 <br />Fifth through eleventh 16.000 <br />Twelfth through fourteenth 20.000 <br />Fifteenth through sixteenth 22.000 <br />Seventeenth and above 24.000 <br /> <br />The maximum monthly accrual rate shall be 22.000 hours. <br /> <br />6.4(3) <br /> <br />Vacation Leave Deficits and Accumulation <br /> <br />Ae <br /> <br />Ail management and confidential employees, except a <br />battalion chief or a probationary employee, may be <br />allowed to incur a forty (40) hour deficit of <br />vacation leave. A fire battalion chief may incur a <br />fifty-six (56) hour deficit of vacation leave. A <br />probationary employee may incur a forty (40) hour <br />deficit of vacation leave after six (6) months of <br />full-time, satisfactory service. All deficits of <br />vacation leave shall be charged against the <br />employee's vacation leave account in a form of a <br />negative balance. THIS SECTION IS UNDER REVIEW AND <br />NAY BE MODIFIED- CONSISTENT WITH RECENT FLSA <br />INTERPRETATION. <br /> <br />- 9 - <br /> <br /> <br />
