<br />ATTACHMENT B <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ADOPTING CHAPTER 17.44 OF THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE <br />TO INCORPORATE A NEW INCLUSIONARY ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL or THE CITY or PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION I. <br /> <br />A new Chapter 17.44 is hereby added as follows: <br /> <br />"Chapter 17.44 Inclusionary Zoning <br /> <br />ARTICLE I -- GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> <br />Section 17.44.010. Title. <br /> <br />This Chapter shall bc callcd thc "Inclusionary Zoning Ordinancc ofthc City of <br />Pleasanton. " <br /> <br />Section 17.44.020. Purpose. <br /> <br />Thc purpose of this Chaptcr is to enhance the public welfare and assurc that further <br />housing devclopment attains the City's affordablc housing goals by increasing thc <br />production of residential units affordable to households ofvcry low, low, and moderate <br />income, and by providing funds for the developmcnt ofvcry low, low, and moderate <br />incomc ownership and/or rental housing. In order to assure that the limited rcmaining <br />dcvclopable land is utilizcd in a manner consistent with the City's housing policies and <br />nccds, 15 percent of thc total number of units of all new Multiple ramily Residential <br />Projccts containing 15 or morc units, constructed within the City as it now exists and as <br />may be altered by anncxation, shall be affordable to Vcry Low and Low Income <br />houscholds. ror all new Single Family Residential Projects of 15 units or more, at least <br />20% ofthc projcct's dwelling units shall bc affordablc to Very Low, Low, and/or <br />Modcratc Incomc households. For all Condominium Convcrsion projects approvcd <br />pursuant to Chapter 17.04 of the Plcasanton Municipal Code of 15 units or more. at least <br /> <br />Page I of 13 <br />
