The proposed Amador Theater Fee Policy continues to
provide community organizations priority use of the
theater. The increased theater fees include the cost of
an additional technician which has been an "add on" fee
for most bookings this past year.

The fees and charges of Department of Parks and Community
Services programs and facilities are based on the policy
of recovering the full direct program's cost of fee
classes, special clinics, camps and private facility use,
and recovering 0%-75% of the direct program cost of broad
based children's programs, teen activities, disabled
programs, senior programs, facility use associated with
nonprofit organization program use, or programs targeted
to address identified community needs. (Example: Child
care, substance abuse, disabled/senior transportation.)
It should be noted that direct costs do not usually
include facility maintenance, custodial services or
utility costs.

Honorable Mayor and Members of the Council:

B~CKGROUND

Ail fees and charges established by the Department of Parks and
Community services are to be approved by the City Council
Resolution 92-99 (Fee Policy) and Resolution 92-200 (Master Fee
Schedule). During the past year, the Department has made various
adjustments to the fees and charges to compensate for increases in
staff/contractor salaries and program materials and have added and
omitted classes and programs due to demand or lack of demand.

Effort has been made to delete from fees submitted for approval
those "add-on" items that are controlled by the market, i.e.,
insurance, uniforms, books. Those fees shown which include such
costs have an asterisk.

If no change is proposed, the existing fee remains in place. If an
increase is considered significant, 10% of existing fee, or special
circumstances exist, an explanation has been provided for the
proposed fee.

PROPOSED FEE SCHEDULE/CHANGES

A. DEPARTMENT GENEP.%L FEES

Refund Service Fee: No change proposed - Refunds are not
granted if requested later than three (3) working days
prior to the first class meeting. Refunds granted will
incur a $5.00 per class service charge. Full refunds
will be given for any classes cancelled by the
Department. NOTE: Aquatic program refunds are
restricted to special circumstances only.

SR 92:224
