<br />/ <br /> <br />"I <br /> <br /> <br />4F <br /> <br />\. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />pLEASANTONo <br /> <br />City Council <br />Staff Report <br /> <br />October 3, 2006 <br />Public Works Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />INSTALLATION OF TWO-WAY STOP CONTROL AT THE <br />INTERSECTION OF BLACKBIRD WAY/SKYLARK WAY AND <br />WOODTHRUSH ROAD <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council take the following action at the <br />meeting of October 3, 2006: <br /> <br />Adopt the resolution establishing a two-way stop control at the <br />intersection of Blackbird Way/Skylark Way and Woodtbrush Road <br />(stops to be placed on Blackbird Way and Skylark Way, no stop on <br />Woodtbrush Road). <br /> <br />SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Staff has performed a stop sign analysis for the intersection of Blackbird <br />Way/Skylark Way and Woodtbrush Road. Based on a site investigation, <br />collected data, and review of state and federal standards, staff finds that <br />two-way stop control is justified at this intersection. Staff recommends that <br />stop signs be placed on northbound Blackbird Way and southbound Skylark <br />Way to create a two-way stop intersection. Staff does not recommend <br />installation of stop signs on Woodtbrush Road. <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council: <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The intersection of Skylark WaylBlackbird Way and Woodtbrush Road is located within the <br />Birdland neighborhood (located north of Valley A venue between Hopyard Road and Santa Rita <br />Road).
