Approve plans and specifications for this project. <br /> <br />2. Review the bids received and award the contract to the lowest <br />responsible bidder, CBC Construction of Pleasanton, California, in <br />the amount of $130,360. <br /> <br />3. Authorize the City Manager to enter into the above construction <br />contract. <br /> <br />4. Authorize the Director of Public Works to approve and execute <br />contract change orders for a contingency amount of $26,000 (20%) <br />for necessary related project work. <br /> <br />5. Authorize the transfer of $11,000 from the Facilities Renovation Fund <br />(043900-4385) to meet project costs. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Plans and specifications were prepared for the Pleasanton Police <br />Department Dispatch Center project. Bids have been received, and staff is <br />recommending the award of a contract to the lowest responsible bidder, <br />CBC Construction, in the amount of $124,986, along with bid Alternate <br />#1 in the amount of $5,374, for a total bid amount of $130,360.
