Urban Stormwater Design Requirements <br />49. The project shall cotriply with the Alanieda Countywide NYIJFS Permit #CA50029831, a <br />copy of which is available at the City offices. <br />50. The following req uiretnants shall be incorporated into the project: <br />a. The project developer shall submit a final grading ,, ,-td drainage plan prepared by a <br />licensed cavil engineer depicting all final grades and on-site drainage control <br />trteas ores includ ing bio-swales. Irrigated hio-swales shall be redesigned as needed to <br />the satisfaction of the City Engineer to optitriize the amount of the stortri avatar <br />running oft the paved surface that enters the bin-swale at its most upstream and. "phis <br />plan shall be subj act to the review and -approval of the City Engineer prior to the <br />issuance of any building penrtits. <br />b. Trash areas, dun~psters and recycling containers shall be enclosed and roofed to <br />prevent water rem-on to the area and run ol.-f from the area and to contain litter and <br />trash, so that it is not dispersed by the wind or runoff during waste removal. These <br />areas shall not drain to the storm drain system, there shall be a concrete lined sump in <br />the trash enclosure area to catch anything dripping from the dumpster or as otherwise <br />approved by the City Engineer. No other area shall drain into the trash enclosure, a <br />bcr-rn shall be installed to prevent such drainage if found necessary by the Chief <br />Building Official. A sign shall be posted prohibiting the dumping of hazardous <br />materials into the dutrtpster. <br />c. All metal roofs, if used, shall be finished with rust-inhi bitive paint. <br />d. Roof drains shall discharge and drain away ti-om the building foundation to an <br />unpaved area wherever practicable. <br />Urban Stormwxter G'onstrn ction Requirements <br />51 . The prof cct developer shall submit a Stormwatcr Pollution Prevention Plan (S WPPP~ for <br />review and approval by the City En<aineer prior to issuance of building or grading pertrtits. <br />Failure to comply with the approved construction SWPPP trtay result in the issuance of- <br />correction notices citations or stop work order. The following, tort sir~ction BE.st. <br />M a.tiagexnent Practices <BMPs~, as well as any other applicable n~eas ore, shall be included in <br />the SWPPP and implemented as approved by the City. <br />52. "I'he project developer is responsible for implementing the following trtcasures during all <br />construction phases of the project: <br />a. The prof ect developer shall include erosion control/storm water quality irteas ores on <br />the final grading plan which shall sped tically address n~teasures to prevent soil, dirt, <br />and debris from entering the storm drain system.
