Reports from consultants are <br />attached as part of Attachment 5 (Planning Commission staff report). <br /> <br />Planning Commission Action <br /> <br />The project was presented to the Planning Commission at its public hearing on June 14,2006 <br />(Please see Attachment 6, Minutes of the Planning Commission meeting). The applicant was <br />present at the meeting. Therc was no public testimony in favor of or in opposition to the <br />proposed project. <br /> <br />The Commission commcnted on the oricntation of thc proposed residence on Lot I. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission unanimously voted 5-0 to recommend approval ofthe proposed <br />project to the City Council, with the conditions of approval as proposed by staff. <br /> <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br /> <br />Notice ofthe City Council's public hearing on this item were sent to all property owners and <br />tenants living within 1,000 feet of the subject property. In addition, the City advertised the <br />notice in the newspaper and postcd the hearing notice in the bullet board in front of200 Old <br />Bernal Avenue. <br /> <br />Staff received no comments from surrounding neighbors. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT <br /> <br />A draft Negative Declaration was prepared in conjunction with the proposed planned unit <br />development plan. Based on the Initial Study and Negative Declaration, and as conditioned, the <br />project would not have a significant effect on the environment. The proposed project plans <br />have bcen revised to avoid significant effects or mitigated by design to a point where the effects <br />arc insignificant, and there is no substantial evidencc that the project as proposed may have a <br />significant effect. <br /> <br />Staff has filed a Negative Dcclaration with the State Clearinghouse, and was notified by the <br />Clearinghouse that no comments were received from other agencies. <br /> <br />PUD CONSIDERATIONS <br /> <br />The Zoning Ordinance of the Pleasanton Municipal Code sets for the purposes of the Planned <br />Unit Dcvelopment (PUD) District and the considerations to be addressed in reviewing a PUD <br />development plan proposal.
