Employees may be compensated for overtime worked either <br /> by monetary payment or by compensatory time off at the <br /> option of the employee. Compensatory time shall accrue <br /> at the rate of one and one half times the overtime hours <br /> worked. Compensatory time off which accrues in excess of <br /> one hundred (100) hours must be liquidated by monetary <br /> payment. All monetary payments must be paid not later <br /> than the next bi-weekly payroll following the pay period <br /> in which the overtime was worked. Compensatory time must <br /> be taken in minimum of one (1) hour increments, except <br /> that after the first hour compensatory time may be taken <br /> in minimum increments of one half (1/2) hour. Utilization <br /> of compensatory time off shall be by mutual agreement <br /> between the police chief and the employee. Once per year, <br /> employees may bepaid for all accrued compensatory time. <br /> Said payments shall be made on the first pay day in <br /> December. Written requests for payment must be made by <br /> the employee fifteen days in advance of the first pay day <br /> in December. <br /> <br /> Section 7. Court Time <br /> <br /> 7.1 Local <br /> <br /> Employees who are ordered to report to work during their <br /> off-duty hours for the purpose of appearing in court <br /> within the Livermore-Pleasanton Judicial District and who <br /> do so at the specified time shall receive a minimum of <br /> four (4) hours pay at time and one-half (1-1/2). This <br /> provision does not apply to instances where employees are <br /> ordered to report to work less than four (4) hours prior <br /> to their regular starting time or are held over less than <br /> four (4) hours after their regular quitting time for the <br /> purpose of appearing in court. <br /> <br /> 7.2 Non-Local <br /> <br /> Employees who are ordered to report to work during their <br /> off-duty hours for the purpose of appearing in court <br /> outside the Livermore-Pleasanton Judicial District and <br /> who do so at the specified time shall receive a minimum <br /> of five (5) hours pay at time and one-half (1-1/2). This <br /> provision does not apply to instances where employees are <br /> ordered to report to work less than five (5) hours prior <br /> to their regular starting time or are held over less than <br /> five (5) hours after their regular quitting time for'the <br /> purpose of appearing in court.
