Revisions to Plan Concept and <br /> Additional Staff Direction <br /> <br /> South Livemore Valley <br /> Study Steering Committee <br /> <br /> January 8, 1991 <br /> <br />At their January 8, 1991 meeting, the South Livermore Valley Study Steering <br />Committee directed staff to make the following revisions and refinements to <br />the South Livermore Valley Plan Concept: <br /> <br /> Page 1 The Plan should establish criteria for Vineyard Area <br /> boundary changes and designations on individual <br /> properties based on demonstration of si~ni~cant <br /> viticultural or agricultural potential. <br /> <br /> Page I Pleasanton Gateway acreage should be changed to <br /> approximately 350 acres to reflect revised land area <br /> estlmntes provided by Pleasanton staff. The maps <br /> show the'correct gateway boundaries. <br /> <br /> Page 1 Gateway holding capacities should be estimated. <br /> <br /> Page 3 The Plan should include provisions for <br /> Sections 1.B accommodation of unique environmental and land <br /> and 1.D characteristics, e.g. oak groves or creeks, on specific <br /> sites in the Plan Area. <br /> <br /> Page 3 In addition to productive vineyards and orchards, <br /> Section 1.E other suitable agricultural uses on cultivable land <br /> should be permitted. Cut flowers, herbs and other <br /> specialty crops were cited as examples. <br /> <br /> <br />
