Resolution No. 91-06
Page Two

5. The buy-back center shall pay each resident the
prevailing rates for the recyclable material
received.

6. In order to promote recycling on an ongoing basis,
the resident must have obtained three stamps within
the quarter immediately preceding the quarter for
which the resident seeks a credit. (i.e. If a
resident seeks a credit to be applied for his/her
April 1991 billing statement, the resident must
include with their April invoice, a copy of the
January billing statement which includes three
stamps.)

7. The recycling credit shall be in the form of the
resident making full payment for their quarterly
service less the $3.51. As an example, if a
resident's quarterly bill is $40.53, a resident
would include a prior quarter billing statement
with three stamps and a payment of $37.02. If past
invoices are not properly stamped or from the
appropriate previous quarter, the resident will be
billed for the $3.51 during the next quarter's
bill. (i.e. Receive a bill of $44.04 rather than
$40.53.)

8. The credits approved by Pleasanton Garbage will be
accounted as a cost against the recycling program.

9. For each approved credit, the Transfer Station buy-
back center will be required to pay the recycling
program a total of $.32.

Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.

I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND
REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT
A MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 8, 1991 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE:

AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Mohr, Scribner, Tarver, and
Mayor Mercer
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

Michael H.
