(TJCAA) estimates the structural engineer fee at $21,954. The fee
quoted is based on the structural engineering services associated with the tasks outlined
below:

1. Structural Engineering Analyses (Preliminary Design):

o. TJCAA will evaluate the McCloud Water Storage Tank against current code
mandated Design Basis Earthquake (DBE). Specifically, design will be
primarily based on the requirements of the 2001 California Building Code
(CBe), AWWA DllO - Standard for Wire- and Strand-Wound, Circular,
Prestressed Concrete Water Tanks, ACI 350 - Seismic Design of Liquid
Containing Concrete. Geotechnical concerns regarding the soil parameters will
be based on recommendations from the project geotechnical engineer.
Seismic design parameters will follow the recommendations from the 2001
CBC with input from both the project geotechnical engineer and published
information from the USGS regarding anticipated site-specific ground motions.

b. Deliverables - Preliminary Report and meeting with City staff to discuss
findings.

c. Cost - $4,960

2. Structural Engineering Analysis (Final Report):

o. Based on the preliminary design performed under Task 1 above, and
discussions with City staff. TJCAA will perform a complete analysis of the
McCloud Wate Storage Tank. Included within this report will be specific tank
vulnerabilites and areas of concern.

As part of this task TJCAA will facilitate the inspection and assessment of the
tank's condition and provide an opinion of the source of the leakage currently
being experienced by the tank.

b. Included within this report will be a list of retrofit options available. This list
will include options to repair the leak. If required, options to bring the tank up
to code.

c. Deliverables - Final Report and meeting with City staff to discuss findings.

d. Cost - a) $7,508 and b) $7,776
