COST FISCAL <br />YEAR <br />Foothill Road Widening at Dublin Canyon Stoneridge Mall Area Developers $998,000 2000/01 <br />Dublin Canyon Road Eastbound Widening at Foothill <br />Road Stoneridge Mall Area Developers $90,000 2000/01 <br />Stoneridge Drive Widening at Stoneridge Mall Road Stoneridge Mall Area Developers $153,700 2000/O1 <br />Stoneridge Mall Road Sidewalk Construction Safeway Corporation $200,000 1999/00 <br />In addition to the above, five funded projects aze eligible for construction from Signature Properties as <br />part of the Ruby Hill development approval. These contributions aze not included in the CIP because the <br />exact dollaz amount has not yet been identified. Once this process has been completed, the necessary <br />adjustments will be made. The five projects located in the Streets Category aze: Stanley Boulevazd and <br />Va1leyBernal Widening; BernaUVineyazd to Arroyo del Valle Widening; Bernal Avenue: Vineyazd to <br />Tawny Widening; Bernal at Tawny Traffic Signal; and Bernal at Vineyazd Traffic Signal. <br />Grants <br />This year's program includes $5,373,000 in grants from the Federal Transportation Enhancement Act for <br />the 21st Century (TEA21). The funding is proposed to be used as follows: <br />TEA21 FUNDED PROJECTS <br />YEAR PROJECT AMOUNT <br />FY 1999/00 Hopyard Resurfacing: Coronado to Valley $754,000 <br /> Santa Rita Road Resurfacing: Old Santa Rita to Stoneridge $519,000 <br />FY 2000/01 I-580 Corridor Signal Interconnect $3,000,000 <br /> I-580/680 Transit Enhancements $500,000 <br /> Alamo Canal Bikeway $500,000 <br />Due to the grant based nature of this revenue source, future revenue is not "guazanteed." Staff continues <br />to maintain Federal and State Grant opportunities and activities to assure funding opportunities are <br />analyzed and pursued where appropriate. <br />Utility User's Fees <br />In recent years, the City has adjusted sewer and water rates in part to establish a rate component for <br />Sewer and Water Replacement and Improvement Projects. To reflect the establishment of the Sewer and <br />Water Replacement Funds, the water and sewer program is divided into expansion and <br />replacement/improvement projects.
