In addition to commission recommendations regazding the identification of highest priority projects, in <br />accordance with Council direction provided as part of the Mid-Term Budget review, commissions were <br />asked to make a recommendation regazding the most appropriate use for the $825,000 that was <br />previously recommended by staff to be used to acquire additional land for the expansion of the <br />Operations Service Center. The Commission recommendations on this matter are as follows: <br />COMMISSION RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING HIGHEST PRIORITY USE <br />FnR ~R25.000 IN ONE-TIME REVENUE <br />COA~IlVIISSION RECOIVIIVIENDATION <br />Economic Vitality Provide needed funding for the proposed municipal golf course. <br />Human Services Provide needed funding for the proposed municipal golf course. <br />Library Provide needed funding for the proposed municipal golf course. <br />Park and Recreation Provide needed funding for the proposed municipal golf course. <br />Youth Provide needed funding for the proposed municipal golf course. <br />Planning 50% of revenue to be used to provide needed funding for the proposed municipal golf <br />course and 50% to be used to address traffic mitigation measures at Pleasanton schools. <br />Civic Arts Acquisition of temporary short-term space to accommodate the demands for art <br />activities and to fund an Arts Facility Needs Study. <br />Housing Allocated to the new City Hall/Community Center. <br />As a result of these recommendations, the $825,000 has been included in the municipal golf course <br />project and this CIP includes the revenue necessary to fund those portions of the project not funded with <br />bond financing (i.e., off-site improvements and planning costs, etc.). <br />Regazding the disposition of the other commission recommended projects, additional revenue is being <br />added to the reserve for the City HalUCommunity Center project to further the development of this <br />project; a Master Plan for Amador Park which will review existing and potential new space at the pazk <br />which could address community arts space needs is funded and while the Planning Commission's <br />recommendation to use 50% of the revenue to mitigate traffic in Pleasanton has not been directly <br />addressed in the CIP, staff continues to review traffic needs at schools and will make recommendations <br />when appropriate. <br />Finally, another approach used to develop staff recommendations involved reviewing the City Council's <br />recently adopted highest priority projects in an attempt to develop recommendations on those capital <br />v <br />
