<br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />This project will increase the amount of asphalt pavement area by approximately 18,000 <br />square feet and street striping throughout the project limits, and therefore will be incorporated <br />into the City's pavement management system for future maintenance. In approximately ten <br />years, a street slurry application and restriping of the roadway will be required. The current <br />cost for the slurry seal application is $.50 per square foot for an amount of $9,000, the street <br />striping cost is approximately $13,500 (based upon the contractor's bid for the subject project, <br />see bid items no's. 16 thru 26) for a total amount of $22,500. The cost provided for future <br />roadway surface maintenance does not include inflation. Removal of the two roundabouts <br />however, will result in reduced landscape and irrigation maintenance costs, as well as reduced <br />curb replacement costs. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />72<.
