Approve the plans and specifications for this project. <br /> <br />2. Review the bids received and award a contract for the subject project <br />to Granite Construction Company of Santa Clara, for a low bid <br />amount of $544,660. <br /> <br />3. Approve a Gas Tax fund transfer of $599,126, which includes the low <br />bid and a 10 % contingency, from Annual Streets Resurfacing Project, <br />CIP No. 065003, to the subject project. <br /> <br />4. Authorize the City Manager to enter into the above contract. <br /> <br />Bids have been received for the subject project and staff is recommending <br />award of the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder, <br />Granite Construction Company, in the amount of $544,660. The subject <br />project consists of removing the concrete roundabouts and approach <br />islands, widening the roadway width by approximately 18 feet on <br />Vineyard Avenue at the intersections of Thiessen Street (East and West) <br />for approximately 1,900 linear feet. The proposed roadway width will <br />generally consist of two 6-foot bike lanes, two 12-foot travel lanes, and <br />12-14 foot left turn pockets. <br />
