Approve the contracts with CSG Consultants, Inc., Independent Code <br />Consultants, Inc., RK Associates, Inc., and Bureau Veritas/LP2A <br />Associates, Inc., to provide necessary California Building and Fire Code <br />plan review and field inspection services. <br /> <br />2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the subject contracts. <br /> <br />The City of Pleasanton has historically utilized consultant services for <br />building and fire permit plan review. CSG Consultants, Inc., Independent <br />Code Consultants, RK Associates, and Bureau Veritas/LP2A Associates, <br />Inc. have been chosen from a list of qualified consultants to provide building <br />plan review and field inspection services in the City of Pleasanton. Three of <br />the four firms have offices here in Pleasanton. All four of the consultant <br />firms have a proven track record of providing prompt plan review <br />turnaround times, accurate plan reviews, and professional and friendly <br />customer service. <br /> <br />The proposed new contracts (see Exhibit A, sample contract) continue the <br />same basic percentages of the plan review fees paid to the consultants from <br />seventy percent (70%) to fifty-five percent (55%) and also standardizes the <br />hourly billing rates between the consultants. In addition, the new contracts <br />require the same quick turnaround times for small projects (ten working <br />
