<br />r <br /> <br />...... <br /> <br /> <br />46 <br /> <br />; ::n: <br /> <br />pLfASANTONo <br /> <br />'- <br /> <br />City Council <br />Staff Report <br /> <br />June 6, 2006 <br />Administrative Services Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT <br /> <br />Resolution to Appoint Representatives to Serve on the Happy Valley <br />Blue Ribbon Committee <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDA nON: <br /> <br />Adopt the attached resolution (Exhibit A) to appoint representatives to serve on the Happy <br />Valley Blue Ribbon Committee. <br /> <br />SUMMARY <br /> <br />On March 21, 2006, Council established the Happy Valley Blue Ribbon Committee with the <br />purpose of evaluating possible alignments of the proposed Happy Valley By-Pass Road included <br />in the Happy Valley Specific Plan. Council directed staff to assemble the committee based on <br />specific parameters. <br /> <br />A public meeting was held on May 9, 2006, and the community members identified on the <br />attached resolution meet the parameters and have agreed to serve. <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council: <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Council Direction. On March 21, 2006, the City Council approved creation of a Blue Ribbon <br />Committee to develop Happy Valley By-Pass Road alignment options. In addition, the Council <br />provided the following direction to staff related to committee composition: <br /> <br />. A total of 5-9 City appointed members, two of which will be Al Spotomo (or other <br />designated member of the Spotomo family) and Pat Costanzo from Greenbriar Homes <br />. Remaining members to be distributed geographically within the boundaries of Sycamore <br />Creek Way, Alisal St., and Happy Valley Road, including Sycamore Road, Laura Lane, <br />Byrd Lane and Mockingbird Way East, by either street or area <br /> <br />SR 06:123 <br />
