First is the Sub-Area Land Use Map (Figure 3-1) that spatially allocates areas <br />for a variety of potential future land uses throughout the Planning Area. Second is the Illustrative <br />Site Plan (Figure 3-2) that is to be used in conjunction with the Sub-Area Land Use Map to illustrate <br />the overall desired design character for the Planning Area. <br /> <br />More specifically, the Illustrative Site Plan demonstrates the design vision that the Phase II Plan <br />objectives are intended to accomplish with regard to: <br /> <br />The dispersion of public facilities within the open space setting, <br /> <br />The relative proportion of open space to developed area that the City desires <br />to maintain, <br /> <br />The scale and spatial relationship of open meadows to forested areas. <br /> <br />The sense of being within a grand park that includes areas of varying plant <br />communities and wildlife habitats and corridors, with developed facilities <br />that are integrated into this setting at a scale that does not overwhelm the <br />natural landscape. <br /> <br />Land Use Element <br /> <br />271 <br />
