The contract for the 2005-2006 school years has come up for
renewal, and staff recommends that the agreement be approved.

Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council:

BACKGROUND

Since 1995, the City of Pleasanton has contracted with All City Management Services Inc.
(ACMS) to provide crossing guard services throughout the City. ACMS has a regional office
in Dublin. ACMS has done an outstanding job of providing crossing guards, staffing twenty
locations at eleven schools in the Pleasanton Unified School District during the regular school
year and four locations during summer school. This year's contract, as recommended, will
provide twenty-one locations during the 2006-07 school years and four summer school
crossing guards for the 2006 summer school session, for a total of 14,704 hours.

ACMS has agreed to provide crossing guard services to the City for the upcoming school year
(July 1,2006 to June 30, 2007) with a modest fee increase of 3.5% over the 2006/07 contract.
This is their first fee increase since the 2002-03 school years. A copy of the proposed
agreement is attached.

SR:06:094
